It was 'RED' day in school today as part of social inclusion week.
All the children and teachers wore something red to symbolise the fact that everyone is the same no matter what religion you are, what colour you are or what country you are from!

We made nnnnnecklaces!!!! We love letter 'n'! We counted out 5 long pieces of pasta and 5 short pieces of pasta. We threaded them on a string and made a pattern of long and short pieces of pasta! Have a look at us at work!!

The Princes and Princesses in Room 3 had a popcorn party!

We loved learning about letter 'p' this week! We made special crowns that turned us into beautiful princesses and handsome princes! We had a popcorn party!Yummy!!! Look at all our little Princes and Princesses!

Aistear- Room on the Broom, Halloween theme

We have been very busy in Aistear this week! We were making potions and spells in our witch's house. We turned the teachers into teddy bears so we had to construct special houses for them to live in! We went digging in the sand and found lots of spooky spiders...we counted them and put the correct amount into each pumpkin! We also made super wands so we could bring them home to cast some spells at home...so watch out!!!!!! Watch our video of our busy week! Aistear- Room on the Broom

The All Ireland Trophy came to visit room 3! Well done to the Cavan Ladies!

The farm came to visit!

A mobile farm came to visit us on Monday! We saw lots of farm animals and we got to feed them! Our favourite was Penny the pig because we are learning all about letter 'p' this week!

We made an igloo...good enough to eat!!

We were learning all about letter 'i' this week and we made a tasty igloo with white chocolate and marshmallows....we even had a special visitor in our igloo! But the best part was when....WE ATE IT ALL UP!!!! YUM!

Listen to our 'i' song. When we write letter 'i' in class we do not put the curl on the end as you see on this video. Just practise writing a straight one with your little one!!!
